Former Indian Captain Kapil Dev has been inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame. Kapil Dev was the top wicket taker for India even years after he retired. He is also the man who made history in Captaining the 1983 Indian squad leading the team to a World Cup Victory.
ICC President David Morgan presented a commemorative cap to Kapil here on Tuesday. Federation of International Cricketers' Associations (FICA), recognises some of the legends of the game for their contributions to Cricket.
Kapil Dev was born on 6th Jan 1959 & Debut to International Cricket on 1st Oct 1978, he has played 131 Tests and 225 ODIs across a 16-year career, and forever remembered Captaining India to victory in the 1983 World Cup. .
He is one of the greatest fast bowlers that India has produced & was the fine all-rounders for India with a remarkable 434 Test wickets and 253 ODI wickets.
On this occasion Kapil paji said "I am proud and happy to have been inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame and it's amazing to think that I have been picked as one of the reats of Indian cricket."
