Dhaka : Team India starts their journey in the world cup with a huge victory over Bangladesh. Team india set up 371-run target for Bangladesh in the first match of the world cup at Dhaka. Sehwag scored (175 out of 140 balls) to become the first centurion of World Cup 2011. Sehwag hammered as many as 14 boundaries and five sixes during his 140-ball 175 while Kohli's unbeaten 83-ball 100 contained eigtht boundaries and two sixes.
Sehwag set the tempo by spanking the very first ball off paceman Shafiul Islam through cover to the boundary to begin the innings on a rousing note. He also clobbered the last ball to the boundary as the first over yielded 12 runs.
A horrible mix-up with Sehwag ended Tendulkar's (28) stay on crease. Sachin was run out by Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan in the eleventh over. The master blaster hit four boundaries in his 29-ball innings.
Gautam Gambhir (39) was clean bowled by Mahmudullah in the 24th over.
Kohli came to the crease when the score was 152/2 and gave good support to sehwag who was hammering the ball. Sehwag reached his 14th ODI century of 94 balls in his second world cup. Sehwag had to return to the pavilion after scoring

Kohli managed to reach his century in the fifth ball of the last over while the last ball saw Yusuf Pathan being caught by the wicket-keeper off Shafiul Islam when the score was 370/4.
Bangladesh started their innings chasing a huge total of 370 at the rate of 7.40 runs an over to pull off an upset victory. Imrul Kayes(34 out of 29) looked dangerous by knocking 7 boundaries with a strike rate of 117.24. Imrul Kayes was bowled by Munaf patel in the 7th over when the score was 56/1.
Tamim Iqbal (70 out of 86 balls) was the top scorer in the Bangladesh team, the skipper Shakib Al Hasan scored (55 out of 50 balls).
Munaf patel picked four wickets of the Bangladesh team with an economy rate of 4.80 in his spell, Zaheer Khan took two wickets.
