Earlier Australian team lost early wickets as opener Watson was bowled by Umar Gul in the fifth over of the match. The Australian skipper Ricky Ponting once again failed to bat well, Ponting was dismissed by Hafeez. Haddin was the top scorer from the Aussies team who scored (42 runs out of 80 balls). Clarke scored (34 runs out of 48 balls).
Umar Gul was the Key bowler for the Pakistan team, who took three wickets with an economy rate of 3.91. Razzaq took two wickets while Rehman, Afridi, Riaz and Hafeez took a wicket each.
Even though Pakistan lost early wickets, Pakistan batsman managed to reach the target with 54 balls remaining. Shafiq was the top scorer who scored (46 runs out of 81 balls), while Umar Akmal scored (44 runs out of 59 balls).
Lee was the top wicket taker from the Australia team who's effort went in vain even after taking four wickets. Johnson and Krejza took a wicket each.
