The former Indian captain Bishen Singh Bedi said the controversial policy has dented the team's confidence. According to the former captain the Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni may have been forced to implement the rotational policy on senior players following a diktat by the BCCI. Bishen Singh Bedi said I think Dhoni is being misled. Who knows, he is just expressing BCCI's diktat. I am not convinced that the players are bad fielders. If players are being rotated just for the heck of it, I am not convinced. Players such as Sehwag and Sachin have some stature. You can not just dust it. I don't think they are slow. How many (fast fielders) you have?," Bedi asked. Bedi said by this controversy, the "confidence of the team has been hit." Bedi not only spoke about the rotation policy but also requested to differ with his former teammate Kapil Dev's opinion that Tendulkar should have retired from ODIs after the World Cup. It is Tendulkar's prerogative when he has to call it a day. I don't think, any of us here is in a position to say when Tendulkar should retire. Bedi said I ask each of you. Why are you breathing on his back to get his hundred. It's not fair. Leave the kid alone. Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly feels that the India's selectors need to select three captains for the three formats. Earlier MS Dhoni led the Indian team in the limited overs format while Anil Kumble was leading the Test format. After the retirement of the legendary spinner MS Dhoni took over the captaincy of the Test format. The concept of having three captains for three different formats in not new. Australia, England and South Africa have already implemented the concept of three different captains for three different formats of the game. If team India's selectors decide to select three captains then MS Dhoni would lead team India in the ODI format as Dhoni's success rate in ODI format is impressive. Dhoni led team India in the World Cup 2011 and won the Cup after 28years. Dhoni is also an absolute finisher. Speaking about the Test cricket Gautam Gambhir would seek attention of the selectors as Dhoni was unsuccessful in the Test format and lost eight Test matches overseas. When it comes to the Twenty20 format Virat Kohli is seek the attention of the selectors as Kohli is the player whom Ray Jennings, coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore, once termed "A very talented kid sometimes thinks he is better than the game,” has matured into a skilled batsman. Indian skipper MS Dhoni not only admitted that his mistake cost India a win but alos said he was responsible for the dismissal of Gautam Gambhir who missed his century in the fifth ODI of the Commonwealth Bank Series. Gambhir's dismissal costed India to end up the match in a tie. Dhoni pushed Lasith Maliga ball towards mid-on to score a single. After running for a few steps the Indian skipper realised that there was no single and waved Gambhir to go back but Gambhir was late to go back to the crease as Nuwan Kulasekara threw the stumps down at the non-striker's end. In the post match interview Dhoni said A wrong call cost us the game. I was wrong in calling Gautam for a single and he got run out. Dhoni also spoke on the importance of staying at the crease by saying what's important is to stay there. I looked to stay till the end because while batting at the No 6 position you know there aren't too many batsmen after you. If you have a decent partnership you can stick it out. Dhoni also said facing Malinga in the final over was difficult. Dhoni said Malinga is very consistent. It is very difficult to hit him with his slinging action. So we were looking to target Mathews. The last hit was a bit difficult here, but in India that would have been two bounces and four. When you need 10 or 12 in the last over your heart rate will always be up. Slater said Kohli's batting technique is very impressive. Virat Kohli was the only Indian batsman to score a century in the Test series against Australia. Kohli also helped team India to win the match against Sri Lanka by scoring 77runs in the second ODI at Perth. The thing that impresses me about Kohli is his technique. If you look at all the upcoming batsmen in the world, they have techniques for Twenty20 cricket and not Tests. The way Kohli goes back and across should be the foundation of batting, but nowadays, youngsters stay besides the ball to open the shots on the off side said Slater. The former Australian opener also said I have watched a lot of him on TV in ODI cricket, and the Indian media is constantly behind his inability to play the short ball. But as the tour progressed, he has looked more comfortable. That means he's learning quickly, which is great for India. Speaking about the cramps Kohli suffered in the second ODI against Sri Lanka Slater said let's hope he is fit for the next game.
